It is with great sadness that we report the passing of UVM Valcour. He broke a leg in a turnout accident, and was humanely euthanized on the morning of April 6th. He will be cremated, and his final resting place will be the UVM Morgan Horse Farm where his journey began. He will be in our hearts the rest of our days. Welcome to McDermott Morgans. In 1993 we purchased our first Morgan from the UVM Morgan Horse Farm, and brought him to Chrislar Farm for training. Little did we know that it would open up a whole new world of fun, friends and excitement.
Pictured above is UVM Valcour (UVM Elite x UVM Heidi), a multi-titled Regional, National and World Champion, and our best friend. We are blessed to be the caretakers of this amazing creature, and appreciate the support of his many fans throughout his show career.

THANK YOU! To the Connecticut Morgan Horse Show who inducted UVM Valcour into their Hall of Fame with a presentation on Friday evening, June 9th. "Valley" performed to music under the spotlight, was presented with a garland of roses, and made an emotional trip around the rail to visit his friends and supporters. This final performance marked his official retirement from the show ring after an amazing career. It also brings our own horse showing activities to a close. Thanks to our many horse show friends for your years of support - we'll see you on the rail!
